One of the biggest trends in the job market in recent years has been the rise of fractional executives – particularly within finance. These roles tend to be senior and filled by experienced candidates who work for a business on a single-digit number of days per month. They often do this for several clients, building up a portfolio of companies and sharing best practice between them.

At Rutherford Cross, we don’t determine whether a role sits inside or outside IR35; this determination is made by the end client who is hiring the contractor and they determine this by using the HMRC CEST Tool: – Check employment status for tax – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Your Consultant at Rutherford Cross will send you the weekly timesheet template that we require your line manager to approve on a weekly basis. This should be submitted to our timesheet email address by 2pm on a Tuesday. We also require notification of your days or hours worked weekly from the Umbrella Company by 2pm on a Tuesday. As long as both are received on time, you will be paid on the Friday of that week.

Rutherford Cross partners with PayStream, NASA and Giant, all who have been fully vetted and provide an efficient and effective weekly PAYE payroll service to our day rate contractors. 

Your Consultant at Rutherford Cross will still be your point of contact for any payroll questions that may arise during your contract.
