Position: Interim Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid)
Day rate: Up to £250 p/d (inside IR35)
Duration: 6-month contract with potential to extend

Rutherford Cross is pleased to be working with a Glasgow-based business to appoint a Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator on an initial 6-month interim basis.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Maintaining purchase invoice register and processing purchase invoices when authorised for payment
• Preparation and distribution of monthly sales invoices including recharges
• Checking and updating bank details
• Preparing BACS payments and setting up payments on the banking portal for authorisation
• Posting daily bank transactions from bank statements
• Processing monthly expense claims and payment thereof
• Reconciling monthly credit card transactions
• Monitoring and improving AP processes, controls and procedures
• Supporting with any ad hoc matters which arise

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in a senior accounts payable, purchase ledger or AP lead role
• Experience handling high-volume transactions across multiple suppliers and cost centres
• A proactive and self-sufficient approach, capable of adding value from day one
• Available at short notice
