Interim Head of Finance
Edinburgh (Hybrid), 9-12 months
Rutherford Cross is working with a Not-for-Profit organisation to recruit an Interim Head of Finance based in Edinburgh. You will lead the finance function, providing strategic financial leadership, driving continuous improvement and ensuring robust financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and developing a high-performing finance team, ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective finance service
- Producing high-quality management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting and challenging budget holders and senior managers to drive informed decision-making
- Managing the annual budgeting, forecasting, statutory accounts and audit processes
- Developing financial systems, controls, policies and procedures
- Delivering effective cashflow management, treasury management and financial planning
- Contributing to organisational strategy as a member of the senior leadership team
Skills & Experience:
- Fully qualified accountant
- Experience leading finance teams
- Strong management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning expertise
- Experience providing commercial and strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to improve financial systems, processes and reporting
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software and financial systems
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
