Enviro–Clean Scotland Limited (EVCSL) is a leading provider of liquid waste collection and disposal, operating throughout Scotland. EVCSL has a broad client base, covering four main sectors: Water and Wastewater, Industrial, Infrastructure and Domestic. The client base includes large public or private organisations such as Scottish Water and Veolia, through to SME companies, and down to individuals such as septic tank owners. The company’s ability to take risks in investing in new technology for its customers’ benefit has been central to the development of the business since its formation in 1997.
The Financial Controller’s main role is to support the Finance Director and take day-to-day responsibility for the accounts department. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will be expected to oversee the day-to-day management of the finance function, including overseeing the accounts team in a managerial capacity.
The successful candidate will be either a fully qualified or qualified by experience accountant who has previously held the role of Financial Controller in another fast-paced SME environment. The role requires a candidate who is an experienced people manager and someone who can lead the day-to-day planning of the workload of a sizeable team. It will involve regular review, mentoring, and assisting when required, so will require a ‘hands-on’ approach.
