Rutherford Cross is currently recruiting a Supply Chain Finance Manager for a Scottish headquartered organisation based in the Glasgow area. This newly created position provides the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to join a business in a board role that will engage with multiple functions.

 

The Opportunity

The Supply Chain Finance Manager vacancy represents an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual with first class accounting skills coupled with the ability to engage with cross functional stakeholders. As a key member in the finance team, this individual will be tasked with working across Supply Chain and Commercial teams to ensure Inventory risks are understood, identify the causes of Inventory exposure and work with the business to limit risk exposure.

Furthermore the position-holder will be expected to conduct monthly reporting, annual budgets, and continual risk and opportunities forecasts. It is important to note as the team develops this role will expand and the successful applicant must be prepared to adjust to the changing demands.

 

The Role

Primary purpose of this newly created role is to “own” inventory from a finance functional perspective, act as the finance Business Partner to other teams and be the right hand person to the hiring manager in terms of overall supply chain performance management.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Supply Chain inventory targets and ownership of their delivery.
  • Ensure financial plans are delivered through provision of insightful financial reports and coordinating forecasts ensuring that any risks to financial performance are captured and appropriately acted on in a timely manner
  • Ad hoc analysis and project work to highlight challenges or opportunities in delivering operational financial targets
  • Contribute to and drive improvement of monthly Performance Management reports and ensure these are aligned to the requirements of the Supply Chain leadership team
  • Engage across Supply Chain to prepare appropriate financial planning process and timelines. Monitor and track progress against planning timeline ensuring a robust high quality plan is delivered on time and in full. Support the submission of the consolidated Supply Chain annual budget
  • Coordinate continuous improvement, leading the standardisation and investigating where increased level of automation or reporting tools would improve timelines

 

The Candidate

 

The position requires a confident individual who is familiar with working in an operations oriented environment and has excellent interpersonal ability. As this role will interface with various areas of the organisation they must be able to effectively communicate and build rapport with colleagues.

 

This is a hands-on finance role requiring an individual that has a genuine interest to operate within a broad finance position, proactively seeks to improve systems/processes within supply chain and operations and, where appropriate, challenge the status-quo.

 

In order to be successful you must be qualified from any recognised professional body (i.e. CA, ACCA or ACMA).

 

Remuneration

A salary of £45,0000-£50,000 per annum (depending on experience) with an excellent benefit package.
