Description

Rutherford Cross is working with a well-respected Public Sector Organisation to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst based in Glasgow with locations throughout the UK and Singapore. The successful post holder will play a leading role in providing a comprehensive, effective and efficient management accounting service across the organisation.

On offer is a salary of up to £54k (depending on experience) and an exceptional benefits package including 41 days annual leave, 23.7% employer contribution pension. Ideally, we are looking to speak with qualified accountants (CA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) who have experience working within a large, complex finance function and the ability to influence and challenge decision-making by providing professional financial expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of an effective budgeting and planning process
  • Provide an effective, efficient, and consistent financial management reporting service
  • Monitor and develop the internal control system to ensure the organisation’s finances are well controlled
  • Line management responsibility of a small team
  • Support the preparation of a number of financial returns and other external management reporting requirements
  • Provide high quality and specialist advice & guidance on financial information

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified (ICAS / ACCA / CIMA) or ‘Qualified By Experience’ Accountant with up to date knowledge of policy and procedures
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business processes
  • Proven financial and management accounting experience a large, complex environment
  • Successful track record of working with non-financial managers to drive improvements in decision-making and financial performance
  • Ability to prioritise workload to deliver to tight deadlines and manage competing demands from various stakeholders
  • Advanced skills in the use of of Microsoft packages
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
