Interim Finance Manager (4-6 Months)

Duration: 4-6 Months

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing business in the Lanarkshire area to appoint an Interim Finance Manager for an initial 4-6 month assignment.

This role will play a key part in supporting the finance function through a busy year-end and audit period, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective stakeholder management across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end reporting
• Act as the key finance contact throughout the external audit process
• Review and strengthen balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Assist with technical accounting matters and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Support the production of monthly management accounts and board reporting
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight and challenge where required
• Mentor and support members of the finance team

Candidate Profile

• Fully qualified CA
• Strong technical accounting background
• Demonstrable experience supporting businesses through year-end and external audit processes
• Proven ability to operate effectively in an interim capacity and quickly establish credibility
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across the organisation
