Description

Rutherford Cross is pleased to be partnered with a global renewable energy business to appoint a Reporting Accountant. The business is based in Glasgow City Centre, however hybrid and flexible working is available. On offer is a highly competitive package, unrivalled progression opportunities and a market-renowned working culture. This opportunity represents an ideal first step into the commerce industry from practice, or alternatively a great next step for a qualified accountant who is already in industry.

Ideally, we are looking for newly or recently qualified accountants (up to 3 years PQE) from the Big 4 / mid-tier firms / large-scale businesses. This role sits within a high-performing team and is highly visible within the business. This visibility will allow you to interface with senior stakeholders and build your professional network within the business, as well as gain a broad understanding of the company.

This role is integral in delivering all internal and external financial reporting. In this role, you will work closely with the other Business and Group Control teams to ensure that the consolidated financial reporting for the Group is delivered to a high standard. You will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of other commercially focused activities.

What you will be doing:

  • Assisting and contributing to the preparation of the reported results, budgets and forecasts, and long-term plans for the business. You will be supporting contract reviews and investment post-appraisals
  • Managing the process of accurate, timely and robust management reporting information, coordinating and consolidating KPIs. As part of your role, you will be supporting slide packs as well as ensuring consistency and accuracy of the communication of results, highlighting areas for further review or challenge
  • Supporting the Long-Term Plan process, reviewing the accuracy of inputs and providing analysis of key movements, balance sheet and cash flow reporting, and the coordination / review of retail contracts requiring Finance Director approval. You will also support the reporting of post-investment appraisals.

For an initial confidential discussion regarding this market-leading opportunity, please contact Harry Young at Rutherford Cross – [email protected] / 07494 280 500.
