Description
Rutherford Cross is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Manager for an Edinburgh retail bank that is going through a significant period of change. This role will provide rare and valuable experience in being part of a programme to build a standalone bank.
Purpose of Role:
The Regulatory Reporting team is being established and will be responsible for the Bank’s PRA, EBA and Bank of England reporting requirements.
With effect from 2014 Common Reporting (CoRep) to the European Banking Authority (EBA) became mandatory for all banks in 2016.
The successful person will work alongside the Programme team that is building and testing the core systems to be used by the bank to help to deliver a fully documented CoRep reporting solution fit for purpose in a challenger bank.
Other responsibilities;
- Develop sound working knowledge of the existing systems and processes for CoREP reporting within the group
- Prepare an analytical review and understanding of the CoREP reports and prepare a full review pack ensuring accuracy of financial numbers and key performance indicators
- Establish strong working relationships with the key stakeholders, data owners and infrastructure experts across the group
- Keep abreast of new developments in CoREP, engaging in technical discussions with colleagues in the wider regulatory and statutory reporting teams and manage the impact on the process with proper guidance to data source and infrastructure owners
- Transition the CoREP reporting requirement from project to business as usual within the regulatory reporting team
- Develop good working knowledge of key systems relevant to supporting the reporting
- Awareness of changes to business requirements ensuring any impacts to outputs is sufficiently assessed and appropriate changes are implemented within required timescales
Experience:
- Professional Accounting Qualification
- Experienced in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting delivering accurate and timely FI as well as feeling confident in the "review and challenge" process.
- Team player capable of working on one’s own initiative as well as within a team. Your attitude will support a cohesive approach focused on delivering quality outputs meeting agreed milestones.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with a high quality output.
- Experience of working and building strong business relationships in a changing and fast moving environment.
- Experience of influencing at managerial level and maintaining ongoing relationships with key clients.
- Experience of working autonomously to prioritise own and teams workload
- Ability to plan and manage data requirement for analysis and reporting
