Qualified Accountant for Corporate Finance team – VR/LM18

Our client is looking for an ambitious person for their growing Corporate Finance team in Glasgow. The person will ideally have:

• Qualified as an CA/ACCA with around 2 years experience
• A degree of exposure to Corporate Finance
• Commercial awareness
• A willingness and ability to undertake Business Development
• Already established a bit of a network
• Attention to detail and the ability to self-review
• The ability to work under their own initiative

The role will involve:

• The preparation and review of
  • business plans
  • pitchdecks
  • financial projections
• Signposting to funding options
• Other ad hoc assignments such as product costing, input into financial systems and reporting
• Pursuing funding for clients (equity, debt, grants) – meeting funders, completing applications, addressing queries, agreeing terms
• Involvement in transactions, buy and sell side and managing the transaction process
• Financial due diligence on early stage ventures (for funders) and acquisition targets
• Managing due diligence on a sales assignment
• Valuations of both pre revenue and trading businesses
• Writing Information Memorandum documents for potential sales
• Identifying potential acquirers on a sales transaction
• Presentations to Business Advisers, Universities, MACO staff, lawyers, banks
• Business Development – networking, attending dinners, preparing tenders
• Budgeting on jobs and subsequent monitoring of work in progress
