Description
Interim Senior Financial Accountant job (Hybrid) with an established organisation based in Glasgow City Centre for a 3-6-month period.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

Producing financial returns required for financial reporting, statutory reporting and internal reporting

Leading the co-ordination of the statutory year-end and group year-end processes, ensuring delivery to various stakeholder deadlines

Managing the integrity of the Ledger and accounting system, reviewing detailed reconciliations and appropriate controls, working with System Accountants and other key stakeholders as required

Managing the budgeting and forecasting for the balance sheet and collating analysis performed by junior team members and the FP&A team

Offering technical advice and training on the different accounting standards and frameworks such as IFRS / UK GAAP

Liaising with the team and the business to drive efficiencies and consistency in finance processes and the overall accounting policies / practices

Leading the relationship with External Auditors, through timetable coordination, planning and provision of information

Building strong working relationships across all functions and key stakeholders

Identifying control weaknesses, recommending control procedures to reduce risk and develop procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
To apply, you will be a fully Qualified Accountant with strong technical ability, including knowledge of IFRS, FREM, VAT and Payroll. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills able to take a logical and methodical approach to the role. Excellent Excel skills and a solid understanding of accounting software are essential. This role will offer a hybrid working model (3 days on-site).
