Interim Project Accountant job (Hybrid) with our Renfrewshire based client for an initial 6-month period. Reporting to the Lead Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and actioning changes to ensure that reporting of management information is continuously evolving
• Providing accurate, timely and clear management information covering financial performance, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for projects
• Managing timetables and processes to support projects and ensuring effective and timely delivery of budgets and forecasts
• Providing appropriate and timely input into the organisations financial planning and reporting exercises, including benchmarking
• Ensuring all financial plans are developed and consolidated effectively
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement
• Monitoring and reporting on project spend each month
• Supporting project managers as point of contact for all finance queries
• Analysing project spend between capital and revenue in accordance with accounting standards
• Liaising with the Finance Systems team to ensure that coding is current and fit for purpose
• Contributing fully to the Finance Business Partner team to optimise the impact of Finance across the organisation

Applications are welcomed from Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ accountants with demonstrated knowledge gained through a finance role in a complex organisation. The post holder will have significant understanding of financial and budgetary control systems as well as a background in cost and income allocation and capital accounting. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and secure strong business relationships and have experience of organisational change. Lastly, you will have proficient IT skills able to structure, analyse and interpret complex financial data. Salary: c£38,000 - £46,000 p.a.
