Rutherford Cross is delighted to be exclusively representing our hospitality client on the appointment of an interim general ledger accountant for a 12-month FTC.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Interim General Ledger Accountant to support our finance team. The role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting operational reporting within the hospitality industry. The candidate will be responsible for the preparation and review of key financial data, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support management reporting
- Post sales accruals, operating expenses, and other necessary journal entries
- Review and reconcile general ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in general ledger accounting
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
