Rutherford Cross is delighted to support its West Lothian based client in the appointment of an Interim Financial Consultant.

The role will be on a 6-month period, report to the CFO and require 4 days per week on-site. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Head of Finance, Financial Controller or SME Finance Director who is extremely hands on and comfortable in leading a medium sized finance team, ideally with a background in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts including profit & loss and balance sheet for individual entities and a consolidation for the group
• Production of annual statutory accounts for each entity and for the group, liaising with external auditors
• Support month-end close, journals, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
• Leading and managing the finance team
• Cashflow management and forecasting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Identifying process gaps and implementing control improvements
