Interim Finance Director (Hybrid) job for an initial 6-month period with our public sector client based in Aberdeen.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for:

• Providing advice to the Board and Senior Management supporting strategic decision-making, long-term planning, capital investment and financial control
• Managing all the corporate finance functions and processes of the organisation, including budget planning, audit, working capital, treasury, procurement, capital expenditure, payroll, pension and tax
• Leading and managing the department, ensuring the team leaders deliver key strategic objectives
• Ensuring governance and integrity of all financial reporting, systems and processes and meeting the needs of the business
• Leading the co-ordination of the monthly management reporting pack and reviewing accounts for the business
• Leading and reviewing the statutory accounting process and liaising with external auditors
• Developing Finance Business Partnering to the Operational areas of the business

To apply you will be a fully qualified accountant with previous experience working as a Finance Director or Deputy within a Public or Not for Profit Organisation. The role requires 2 / 3 days per week on site with the other 2 / 3 days working from home.

Day Rate: £500 - £600 per day depending on experience (Inside IR35).
