Rutherford Cross is delighted to be exclusively partnered with our manufacturing client to appoint a 3-month bookkeeper into their team. We are looking to engage with immediately available bookkeepers with strong experience. This role will pay a very competitive day rate.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a 3-month interim basis. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of our finance function. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a strong background in bookkeeping and a proven track record of managing financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Contribute to financial reporting requirements, including profit and loss analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
• Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, particularly the processing of expenses, fuel cards and credit card statements
• Assist with VAT postings and other tax compliance requirements
• Liaise with stakeholders, as required
• Handle any ad hoc financial tasks to support the wider finance team

Key Skills and Experience

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
• Proficiency in accounting software & use of excel
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
