Interim Assistant Accountant

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a growing private equity backed business based in Stirling to appoint an Interim Assistant Accountant for a 6-month period. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts to support business decision-making
• Perform accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations
• Identify and correct transactional errors across ledgers
• Assist in maintaining clean, accurate financial records
• Support the implementation and improvement of financial processes and controls
• Ensure consistency in handling day-to-day accounting basics
• Provide support during external audit
• Ad hoc duties as required

The Ideal Candidate:

• ‘Qualified by Experience’ or Part Qualified Accountant
• Previous experience within a similar role
• Detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Good knowledge of Excel
