Achieved through collaborative working with both public bodies and industry, our client currently leads on or supports a diverse and every increasing portfolio of projects across Scotland. The position of hub Finance Manager is a multi-faceted role covering areas including advisory, investment appraisal, project finance, and financial modelling. Ultimately the focus is on delivering value for money and improved community services to the people of Scotland.

Operating in a dynamic and change orientated working environment, this opportunity requires an individual with the capacity and flexibility to adapt their approach to ensure the wider finance team achieves its goals while meeting the needs of a diverse stakeholder group. Working directly with a range of external organisations from both the private and public sectors, each with their own finance and wider project teams, a key challenge of the role will be to successfully influence behaviour on projects where the direct management responsibility lies with the participants.

As part of a highly motivated team, this role presents a real opportunity to step outside the normal confines of a traditional finance role, and through the utilisation of first class commercial acumen, influencing and project management skills. We would expect that the successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant who has previously had exposure to project finance or a related business area. They will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of success both academically and professionally, and they will be ambitious, creative, with the ability to work collaboratively and influence a variety of senior stakeholders from both the private and public sectors.
