Description

Rutherford Cross are delighted to be working with a global premium drinks business based in Glasgow to appoint a Financial Reporting Assistant. This represents an excellent opportunity for a PQ accountant to work in a supportive environment, in a high calibre team and in a growing global premium drinks business.

Role Purpose

To assist the Group Financial Reporting team in the preparation, global collation, and provision of accurate, complete, and timely statutory financial reporting information, while proactively driving process improvements across Group reporting.

Accountabilities

  • Assist in the external audit of statutory financial statements by coordinating, collating, and validating data for external auditors. This includes providing supporting evidence, and managing the global meeting diary across wider business function.
  • Help prepare and deliver statutory financial statements at both Group and subsidiary levels, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and completeness in accordance with legal requirements and internal deadlines.
  • Coordinate the ongoing governance and maintenance of the Global Finance Manual, including arranging meetings, managing documents, and liaising with third-party agencies.
  • Offer financial reporting support for project requirements across the Group, including acquisition accounting, corporate structure changes, and accounting policy updates.
  • Maintain Group-wide control documents related to company structures, investments, and intangibles.
  • Company Governance Assistance: Support other aspects of company governance and Group-wide controls.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT/Intrastat submissions.
  • Carry out regular financial reporting tasks, such as month-end balance sheet reconciliations, posting necessary journal entries, managing purchase orders, and analysing balances.
