Description

Rutherford Cross is excited to be partnered with a growing FMCG business based in Glasgow to appoint a Financial Reporting Accountant. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, part-qualified Accountant to play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting and improving operational efficiencies across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting and month-end reporting for three subsidiary companies
  • Ensure accuracy of intercompany transactions, reporting, and settlement of balances
  • Prepare monthly consolidated Group Management Accounts
  • Collaborate with the Finance Team to compile the month-end reporting pack
  • Oversee Fixed Asset and HP registers, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Reconcile control and balance sheet accounts
  • Support year-end audits
  • Provide support to the Accounts Payable Team, ensuring ledger integrity and accuracy
  • Support and enhance the Procure-to-Pay (P-2-P) process across the business
  • Implement activities prioritised under corporate Risk & Controls review

Key Requirements:

  • Ability to collaborate with non-finance colleagues to ensure compliance
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Finance IT and Payment systems
  • Solution-oriented mindset
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines
  • Understanding of principles and processes relating to Procure-to-Pay
  • Keen to progress quickly through professional exams
