Rutherford Cross is partnered with a growing manufacturing company based in Glasgow. With a focus on exceptional customer service, this established organisation supplies many of the UK’s most recognised brands. To support the growth, the Managing Director is looking for a talented Finance Director who has a strong operational and commercial head.

The Finance Director is accountable for planning, managing and controlling the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company and will work with the executive management team to determine financial and operational and pricing strategies and to ensure that the company works towards delivery. The successful candidate will also be a key point of for the companies’ bank, auditors, insurers and property agents. Principal accountabilities are:

• Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
• Develop performance measures and metrics that showcase the company’s performance
• Report financial results to the board
• Oversee the financial operations and implement operational best practices
• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
• Costing and developing pricing strategies for products
• Manage the budgeting processes
• Manage the accounting team
• Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
• Ensure liquidity and future compliance with bank covenants etc.
• Arrange for debt and equity financing as may be required.
• Oversee the production of financial information
• Personally review and approve all corporate and employee HMRC related forms.
• Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
• Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry
• Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
• Manage the audit process
• Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations

To be considered for this opportunity you will be qualified (with the relevant PQE) with a broad background and proven record of driving operational change within a manufacturing or complex operational environment. You will also have had exposure to an SME environment.
