Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnering with Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity to appoint a Part-Time Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role at a purpose-driven charity that transforms hospital experiences so no child faces hospital alone.

We believe that no child should face hospital alone.

Every single day 500 seriously ill children and their families face a potentially life-changing hospital visit. And every day they inspire us to make those visits as positive as possible. Our work is shaped by them; what they tell us and how they want us to help.

The Role

The role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the financial operations of the charity and ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and controls. It’s a great opportunity to get involved with managing the grants programme, driving continuous improvement in financial strategy and line managing a team.

More specifically, you will be:

• Applying your skills and expertise, alongside the finance team and colleagues across this dynamic charity, to run the day-to-day management of the financial operations of the charity - including the preparation of monthly management accounts, leading the annual audit and managing the annual budgeting process
• Identifying all opportunities to shape and develop this purpose driven, impactful role supporting vulnerable children and families so that no child faces hospital alone
• With the support of a team of dedicated staff and trustees, supporting the distribution of our charitably raised funds to deliver life-changing projects for children and young people in the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People

Edinburgh city centre one day a week

£31,238 - £35,971 (30 hours a week)
