Our client is a small independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisors, with a forward-thinking approach.  The tax team, based in Glasgow is looking to recruit a Manager, to work closely with the Tax Partner and the wider Partner group.

The Role

This role is very client facing.  You would be responsible for a portfolio of owner managed businesses and some not for profits.  A technically competent tax professional, you will review compliance work, assist with developing the tax team members and provide advice to clients.  You should have a solid corporate tax background, and an understanding of private client matters would be beneficial.

Working across a diverse client base, you will operate in a self-sufficient manner and will demonstrate mentoring skills.  Progression to partner level is very much there for the right candidate, in the longer term.

This firm is willing to consider candidates on both a full time or a part time basis.  They have an excellent flexible working policy in place and a well-established client base, which means the successful candidate will need to develop and maintain client relationships, but there will not be any business development targets.
