Interim Senior Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join a high-growth organisation based just outside Glasgow for an initial 6-month period, with a potential view to become permanent.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing, reviewing and submitting the monthly management accounts within timely deadlines
• Leading and supporting the other members of the team to deliver the month-end task list in line with the timetable
• Preparing and reconciling balance sheet accounts across the full group in line with the month-end timetable
• Preparing timely and accurate group consolidation including IFRS journals
• Preparing monthly board pack with detailed analysis and supporting data
• Key Business Variance Analysis and commentary, and key metrics
• Supporting and preparing cash flow forecasts
• Cross-company communications with operational, sales and other key budget holders
• Promoting a continuous improvement approach to business policy and processes, implementing positive change and driving forward automation and efficiencies
• Supervising assistant accountants; overseeing their daily tasks, mentoring and coaching. Supporting assisting with developing their technical knowledge
• Supporting direct and indirect tax activities across the group

The Individual:

• Fully qualified accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent)
• Industry experience within a similar role
• Good Excel skills
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, good communication skills
