Interim General Ledger Accountant job for an initial 4-month period with our Glasgow based client. Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be responsible for:

• Extracting complex data from the legacy finance system or spreadsheets
• Data sources will include entity codes, suppliers, customers and client accounts
• Working with local users to map high volume data from original to new formats
• Importing data to accounting software
• Testing integrity of data on the new accounting system
• Ensuring the correct mapping of P&L accounts
• Ensuring that the Journals which are imported are balanced and that the content is correct

Applications are welcomed from fully qualified or part qualified accountants with experience of working in a complex data environment. You will have a high attention to detail and enjoy complex reconciliation work. You will also have good Microsoft Excel skills able to map data.

Finally, this role requires excellent communication skills able to liaise with client account managers. Immediate start in July or August. This role will support hybrid working. Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 p.a. or day rate equivalent dependent on experience.
