Senior Finance Contractor

Overview:

Rutherford Cross is working with a growing, PE-backed business in Glasgow to appoint a Senior Finance Contractor on a 6-month interim basis. This role has been created to provide hands-on support across financial accounting and transactional finance, while also driving process improvement and automation across reporting and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the financial accounting function, including statutory accounts and external audit support
• Maintain robust financial controls and documentation across accounting processes
• Review and support transactional finance activities, identifying inefficiencies and control gaps
• Enhance and automate management reporting, reducing manual processes
• Deliver practical process and system improvements in collaboration with the wider finance team
• Support finance projects aligned to ERP change and operational improvement

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience, with a strong background in industry
• Comfortable operating in hands on interim roles
• Proven experience improving manual or inefficient finance processes
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with ERP systems
• Pragmatic, proactive and able to add value quickly
