Role: Interim Statutory Accountant
Duration: 3–6 months
Salary: Circa £60,000 per annum (pro rata)
Location: On-site
Overview:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Statutory Accounting Manager to join an established organisation for a 3–6-month assignment. This role is pivotal in ensuring statutory compliance, providing leadership across finance-related functions, and driving process improvements within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and provide support for the preparation of statutory accounts
- Liaise with external auditors, co-ordinating the audit process and ensuring timely sign-off
- Oversee and prepare board reporting, delivering accurate and insightful updates.
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting
- Manage the insurance renewal process, ensuring all policies are in place and compliant
- Provide leadership and support to the Accounting, Procurement, and IT teams
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
- Collaborate across the business on finance-related projects, identifying and driving process improvements
Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, or CIMA) or Qualified by Experience
- Strong technical accounting skills with a thorough understanding of statutory requirements
- Audit experience, either in practice or industry
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a primarily on-site environment
- Strong knowledge of corporate legal matters
