Investment & Accounting Manager

Rutherford Cross is excited to collaborate with an organisation in the search for an Investment & Accounting Manager to enhance their Finance team. This role, reporting directly to the head of finance, offers a fantastic opportunity to closely engage with internal and external stakeholders with the aim to effectively manage pension funds in compliance with regulatory and best practice requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the Pension Fund Investment Strategy
• Manage strategic and operational aspects of Pension Fund Investments
• Provide training for effective governance of the Pension Fund
• Monitor and manage investment performance, ensuring compliance
• Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts and audits
• Ensure compliance with ESG responsibilities and engage with the Fund Actuary
• Evaluate new investment opportunities through effective due diligence
• Lead projects, establish performance measures, and engage with external bodies
• Manage, motivate, and develop employees in the Pensions Team
• Manage Pension Fund budgets and staff resources effectively

Experience required:

• Fully qualified ACCA / CA / CIMA or equivalent
• Substantial post-qualification experience in a senior accounting role
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Great technical financial skills
• Experience in the application of corporate accounting policies and procedures, including statutory financial statements
• Strong leadership skills
