Rutherford Cross has been engaged by a dynamic, forward thinking and multi-award winning FMCG company based in Edinburgh, seeking a Finance Analyst to join the team on an initial 9 month fixed term contract, however given the growth of the organisation there will be the opportunity to extend.
The Role
You will support the business utilising your technical knowledge, analytical and communication skills in order to provide insight and challenge to the aligned business area and their team.
Your principal duties will include supporting the robust governance and control of all Net Assets and performance against Revenue and Cost management objectives.
- Data analysis including root-cause analysis
- Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, providing advice and guidance to ensure understanding of, and compliance with, internal and external standards/policy
- Ensuring a robust control environment exists, maintaining the integrity of accounting records and financial information
- Providing analysis and challenge on existing processes and the reporting framework to support optimised ways of working and decision making
- Ensuring that the business area delivers against financial targets
In order to be considered for the role, you will ideally be a part qualified/finalist level accountant studying towards CIMA/CA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent and preferably gaining your experience within an FMCG or fast-paced environment. You will have a good level of technical knowledge with an understanding of processes and standards. You will maintain excellent communication skills both verbal and written and enjoy analysis and data interpretation.
The company is offering a competitive salary and benefits package. Whilst initially this role is being recruited on a 9 month fixed term contract basis, the position will be made permanent for the right candidate. Ideally you will be able to start at short notice.
