Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with Calmac to appoint a Finance Business Partner for its newly created Asset Management division. The Calmac has the largest fleet of car and passenger ferries in the United Kingdom. With 30 units in operation, the company provides lifeline services to 23 islands off the west coast of Scotland, as well as operating routes across the Firth of Clyde.
The award-winning ferry operator has ambitious plans to transform west coast ferry services and signed up to a new contract in October 2016, when the company was announced as the successful bidder for the Clyde and Hebrides Ferry Services tender.
Scottish Ministers and Transport Scotland place great value on the contribution that the Clyde and Hebrides Service can make to the social, cultural and economic vitality of Scotland, and in particular in the Island and Coastal communities.
The role will report to the Head of Business Support and Performance and will work closely with the Director of Asset Management, both of whom are eager to recruit an individual who will embrace a continuous improvement ethos. The post-holder will play a significant role in restructuring relationships with key partners and suppliers, a Business Partner balancing change management and financial control.
