Specialising in tailor-made human powered holidays across the globe, the brands of the Active Travel Group run tours from the Scottish Highlands and Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way; to skiing holidays in the Alps and North America and cycling tours in Europe.
Active Travel Group has been backed by private equity firm Mobeus since 2017. The business has very recently made a highly successful acquisition of luxury inbound tour operator MV Luxury Travel which will be the Group’s third acquisition and the latest in its exciting scale-up journey. Wilderness Group is on a high growth trajectory with 20% YOY growth and as such, the business feels it is the right time to appoint a key hire to lead its Finance Team.
As this is a newly created position, the business is flexible around appointing a candidate either at Financial Controller or Finance Director level. This role could suit a candidate currently working at Financial Controller level who has ambitions to move into a Finance Director role in time or a candidate who is currently operating at Finance Director level looking for a new challenge.
The role will ideally be based in Edinburgh; however, the company would also consider the candidate being based at its other sites in Aviemore, Sligo or Kirkby Lonsdale. Hybrid working is available for this role.
