Rutherford Cross is delighted to be retained by Train’d Up to appoint a Finance Business Partner.
Train’d Up is an independent training provider which provides online apprenticeship training in the railway and engineering sectors. Its headquarters are in Bridge of Allan, with plans to relocate to a new office in Stirling in 2026. It has approximately 70 employees and 1,400 learners and is committed to delivering an excellent learning experience for learners.
In June 2025, Chiltern Capital, a UK-based private equity investor, supported a management buy-out of the business. The business is currently implementing a significant change programme and value creation plan, and the Business Finance Partner will play a key role in many of the identified projects as part of this. This role provides the opportunity to gain exposure to working in a fast paced and exciting private equity backed business.
The Finance Business Partner role reports to the Chief Financial Officer. It is both highly analytical and people-focused, responsible for providing insight and support to colleagues across the business. It would require an individual to have both the refined analytical skills of a Finance Analyst or FP&A Manager and the highly-developed inter-personal skills of a Business Partner.
