Sco-Fro Limited is a Glasgow based food specialist founded in 1975 by Stanley Bernard OBE. It has grown into a privately owned company supplying ambient and frozen products to major UK retailers, wholesalers, and foodservice clients.
In February 2021, the company was acquired by Japan’s Wismettac Group. Following this acquisition, founder Stanley Bernard stepped down but remained in an advisory capacity to ensure continuity during the transition to global ownership. Importantly, operational headquarters and local management remained in Glasgow, preserving the company’s unique Scottish-base, while integrating Wismettac’s pan-Asian product pipelines into UK retail and foodservice markets.
The Finance & Operations Manager is a newly created position which will support the established finance function while also overseeing key aspects of logistics and operations, including inventory control, warehouse management, and freight procurement. This role offers exposure to a broad range of responsibilities, providing valuable insight into the overall operations of the business and enabling meaningful contributions across multiple areas.
Sco-Fro is looking to appoint an individual with experience of management accounting and broader exposure to operational responsibilities in a medium-sized business. The individual will have a flexible approach and prioritise tasks based on the needs of the business.
