Rutherford Cross recently partnered with ICAS and University of Strathclyde to host an event on ‘Getting Application Ready’ for their 3rd-year accountancy students.
Consultants at Rutherford Cross, Christina McLean and Harry Young, delivered a presentation to the students providing advice and best practice techniques in three main areas:
- CV writing
- Interview preparation and performance
- Graduate job searching
They also covered broader topics such as labour market dynamics and competency style interview frameworks / methodologies, followed by a CV writing clinic at the end.
Many thanks to University of Strathclyde for hosting us, and to all the students for your time and engagement.
Developing the Next Generation of Talent
Our purpose is centered around helping people and organisations to realise their potential, so we were thrilled to see so many passionate students excited to embark on their career journeys and achieve their ambitions.
Looking ahead, we will be partnering with Glasgow Caledonian University in November for a similar event, as we seek to positively impact the next generation of accountancy talent.
