Oil States International, Inc. is a global oilfield product and services company serving the drilling, completion, subsea, production and infrastructure sectors of the oil and gas industry with a reputation as a global leader in energy services and technology-focused manufacturing.
In recent years, Oil States (UK) Ltd has been successfully adapting offshore, field-proven technology in the design of offshore wind turbine support structures as part of the energy transition to renewables. Additionally, the company has adapted products for geothermal energy production and has also delivered riser systems for deep-sea mineral harvesting which is seen as a global alternative to open cast mining.
Due to an internal promotion, Oil States is seeking a UK Financial Controller to be based at their Heartlands site in West Lothian (working on a hybrid basis).
Reporting to the Group Vice President, UK and Asia, the UK Financial Controller is responsible for the financial management, control and reporting of Oil States Industries (UK) Limited, as well as financial oversight of the Company’s Capital Drilling Equipment operation in Las Palmas, ensuring compliance with Company policies, statutory requirements and US corporate reporting obligations.
The role combines financial stewardship with commercial business partnering, supporting operational decision-making, strategic planning and continuous improvement across the business. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the UK Financial Controller works closely with operational management in the UK and Las Palmas, together with the US corporate finance organisation.
Ideal candidates will be experienced Financial Controllers or senior finance professionals with a proven track record of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial services environment. You will be commercially minded, analytical and able to influence decision-making through the provision of high-quality financial information. You will be a strong people leader with excellent communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
