Rutherford Cross is working in partnership with a market leading Big 4 firm in the Channel Islands to assist them hire a UK Corporate Tax Manager for either their Jersey or Guernsey office.

 

Our client works with different types of businesses including- multinationals, UK corporates, privately-owned organisations, entrepreneurs, family owned and funds. This team, one of the largest and most experienced tax team on the islands, prides themselves in offering technical expertise and solutions. As a manager you will have not only the technical capabilities, a strong UK Tax knowledge but also leadership skills. There will be a team to manage and coach as well as running the projects you are responsible for.  The current tax changes and implications and with both UK and international tax clients, this role is challenging and offers a wide range of experience and expertise.

 

Due to the low taxation and high standard of living, Guernsey and Jersey are both really good options for those looking for a good career move but with a work life balance.  Within an hour direct flight to most UK cities, it’s a sensible option for those not looking to venture to far from home. The islands boast an outdoor lifestyle with its average of sunny days and higher temperatures than the UK. Both islands are sporty, social, community driven and exceptionally multi-cultural. The feel of the islands are a mix between French and British with many of your local high street stores available.  The education system is based on England’s as well as an excellent health service, child care and low crime rate – a smart family choice.

 

This opportunity is for a UK Corporate Tax Manager from a small or large firm. Perhaps an experienced Assistant Manager for whatever reason cannot achieve the role of a Manager where you are. UK Tax experience is essential – however any nationality will be considered.  The ideal amount of experience would be a minimum of 2 years post qualified. Ideally a professional qualification is expected or a relevant tax degree/masters.
