Description

Treasury Manager opportunity (Hybrid / Flexible) with a large Glasgow-based organisation for a 12-15-month period.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the organisation’s banking function
  • Providing support in the administration of the Group’s banking relationships
  • Managing cash balances and timing effectively to support ongoing operational needs and budgeted capital projects, using short- and long-term cash flows to ensure all cash requirements are met
  • Monitoring cash forecasts to actuals to ensure the counterparty limits approved are never breached
  • Monitoring the organisation’s foreign currency holdings and actioning the sale of currencies to minimise foreign exchange exposure
  • Acting as a signatory on all bank mandates and as an authorised signatory for electronic banking
  • Leading and overseeing the Treasury team, ensuring all bank reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and that reconciling items are followed up and resolved
  • Ensuring foreign exchange rates are updated in a timely manner and that transactions are accounted for correctly on the system
  • Promoting a continuous improvement approach across the Treasury team
  • Managing a range of investment advisors including asset fund managers
  • Developing, preparing and presenting Investment reports for Senior Management to aid decision-making and reduce risk
  • Managing the Group’s financial covenants by accurately preparing all calculations regarding the covenant compliance requirements
  • Monitoring environmental, social and governance factors and how they link with the Group’s investment policy and report any required revisions
  • Making recommendations where ESG changes should be considered
  • Ad hoc duties as required

The Individual:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent)
  • Relevant Treasury experience
  • Experience working within a large complex organisation
  • Experience in managing and developing a team
  • Strong Excel skills
