Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a leading international services group in the appointment of a Tax & Reporting Manager to join its UK-based finance leadership team. This is a senior technical role offering broad exposure across UK and international tax, statutory reporting, and audit within a complex, multi-entity environment.

Reporting to a senior finance leader, the successful candidate will take ownership of tax compliance and statutory reporting obligations across several jurisdictions, including the UK and Ireland, with wider international interaction. The role will act as the key operational point of contact for tax and accounting matters, working closely with external advisers and auditors to ensure robust governance, accurate reporting, and timely delivery of all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities will include managing UK corporation tax compliance, overseeing indirect taxes such as VAT, CIS and RCT, and maintaining transfer pricing documentation. In addition, the role will play a central part in supporting the Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) regime, ensuring appropriate controls, documentation, and annual certification processes are maintained to a high standard. The position will also coordinate the preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP, manage audit processes end-to-end, and contribute to the development of an effective internal controls framework.

The successful individual will monitor changes in tax legislation, assess potential impacts across the group, and provide practical, commercial guidance to finance and operational stakeholders. They will also be involved in supporting internal audit activity and helping evolve tax and accounting processes as the business continues to grow and change.

This opportunity would suit a qualified accountant or tax professional (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent) with strong experience in tax compliance within a group or multi-entity environment. Candidates should be confident managing adviser relationships, comfortable operating across competing deadlines, and able to combine technical expertise with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional seeking a high-impact, hands-on role within a dynamic and evolving organisation.

Some benefits include 10% Bonus, flexible working, private health and medical insurance.

Our client is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status or pregnancy and maternity.
