Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a leading organisation based across Scotland, that is currently seeking a Tax Manager to join their team.

Working closely with the head of the team, the Tax Manager will be the go-to for all tax matters internally, whilst supporting the wider group activities as the organisation continues to improve processes. This opportunity will focus primarily on the VAT used for a range of projects, whilst also working closely with HMRC on relevant guidance.

Other key duties include:

  • Ensuring compliance for the group with VAT regulations
  • Advising departments in relation to specific VAT treatment queries
  • Ensuring VAT returns are accurate and submitted on time
  • Gaining an understanding of the finance system to ensure that tax logic is applied consistently and in compliance with regulations
  • Reviewing ongoing procedures for compliance and keeping the organisation up to date with any changes to VAT regulations
  • Coaching and developing the teams involved in processing transactions in all matters related to VAT

This role is best suited to a technically strong Tax Accountant with a proven track record of working knowledge of VAT within a corporate environment. It is also advantageous though not essential to hold a relevant tax qualification.

For more information on the role, please get in touch with Will Dodds at Rutherford Cross - [email protected] or 07494280151.
