Senior Payroll Advisor

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnering with a growing, family-owned business to appoint a permanent Senior Payroll Advisor. The position is based at the company's HQ in central Glasgow; however, the company has a national footprint. The business has grown significantly in the last few years and is adding to the team as the continued growth requires further support from its high-performing finance function.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

• Manage the payroll function end-to-end
• Be the system and technical lead in all matters relating to payroll systems
• Joint lead on process and system improvement projects
• Run weekly payroll
• Calculate weekly bonus payments
• Run monthly payroll
• Process employee expenses
• Ensure pension obligations are met
• Complete month-end balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly P&L reconciliations with analysis of payroll costs for reporting
• Annual pay rise calculations and update payroll
• Year-end and system upgrades

Experience:

• Strong communication skills
• Previous experience in payroll
• Strong Excel skills
