This is a rare opportunity to join a renowned plc that operate in a high growth sector. They are based in Central Glasgow and operate a hybrid model. Salary up to 49k + a highly competitive benefits package. This is a highly visible role within the business and not your standard month end role, you will be expected to interface with stakeholders across the business, present information to senior managers and manage a part-qualified accountant.

Ideally, we are looking for an accountant with a couple of years post-qualification experience looking for a step up into a bigger role or someone in a similar role looking for a new challenge. Our client is happy to consider individuals from a variety of sectors/backgrounds so long as you are qualified and have strong management accounting skills. Due to the size and scope of the organisation there are significant opportunities to progress within the business as you grow your career. This Senior Management Accountant position is a key member of the finance team and will support the Financial Controller directly.

The main duties and responsibilities will involve:

• Production of timely and reliable management information reports, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheet, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
• Presentation of monthly management accounts to Group Finance team and operational teams
• Responsible for annual budget pack preparation and quarterly reforecasting submissions
• Building and developing strong working relationships with Commercial Finance team and other operational teams within the business
• Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and processes and suggesting improvements where needed
• Line management of a part-qualified management accountant
• Assist in the preparation of the year end accounts and provision of audit information
• Take a pro-active approach to the continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures
• Providing support and cover for other finance team members when required
• Undertake ad hoc financial analysis as required
