Description

Rutherford Cross is partnering with a leading retail bank which has gone through a significant amount or change and transformation over the past few years and now looking to recruit a Credit Risk / IRB SME into their growing customer banking and proposition audit team. This role will enable you to partner with the business to provide assurance over risk and control with a particular focus on IRB.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Board in safeguarding the Bank by providing independent assurance on the governance, risk management and control environment
  • Planning and executing audits, focusing the IRB responsibilities under article 191 of the Capital Requirements Regulation
  • Developing and delivering audits including updating methodology
  • Becoming the IRB SME for IA, keeping up to date with existing and emerging regulation and best practice
  • Maintaining and developing key stakeholder relationships between the IA function and the business
  • Raising the profile of IA throughout the bank to support with the resolution of audit findings

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of SME’s who have moved into the third line to give provide assurance across the bank. You will be given all the support and training required to make your transition into assurance and if you wish you will have the opportunity to study towards the IIA qualification. There will also be the opportunity to participate in projects across the bank.

To be considered for this position you will need to have a good understanding / awareness of IRB and the relevant regulation or you will have a strong background within credit risk (analysis/systems). You will naturally be engaging and maintain excellent communication/stakeholder management skills with a true willingness to learn and passion for adding value and creating change within an organisation.
