 Summary of key responsibilities

• Credit and risk assessment of asset finance related reports and applications for the credit worthiness of SME’s
• Working autonomously, making commercial asset and lending decisions that will have a direct impact on the business
• Working with and managing a range of Finance Brokers
• Analysing complex financial statements and information
• Making recommendations for the development of systems, processes, business policies and guidelines
• Mentoring and training junior credit analysts in the team
• Shaping the business by enhancing the quality of processes and systems within the credit function and developing more junior members of staff

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

• Ability to Underwrite credit papers with a background in the SME, Commercial Banking or Commercial Relationship Management environment
• Competent in working autonomously
• A sound understanding of financial ratios, credit reporting and experience in analysing asset finance data
• A solid grasp of credit risk, regulations and financial underwriting
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Strong oral and written communication and the ability to communicate financial asset concepts/issues to a variety of stakeholders
