Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a long-standing Glasgow-based client that is looking to add a Sales Ledger Specialist to their existing team. This role offers great benefits including study support, hybrid working and progression opportunities.

This role is best suited for someone who has at least 1 year of sales ledger experience and is looking to pursue their professional qualification.

Job Purpose: As a Sales Ledger Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the management accountant, senior management accountant, and finance manager in the production of monthly accounts and maintaining clean balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Sales invoicing, process customer remittances, credit notes, RTIs, and RTCs
  • Manage remittances, including posting and allocation
  • Aged Debtors reporting and resolving related queries
  • Process finance journals
  • Ensure monthly expenses are processed according to policy and submitted to payroll
  • Handle credit card balances, recharging when necessary
  • Manage cashbook payments and bank postings
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations
  • Allocate supplier BACS payments
  • Initiate cashbook payments through the bank
