Reporting Accountant

A major financial services organisation based in Edinburgh is looking to employ a Reporting Accountant on a permanent basis. Excellent salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare IFRS submissions and regulatory returns for specified subsidiary companies.
• Prepare annual statutory accounts for a range of subsidiary entities.
• Develop an understanding of the detailed accounting for the transactions recorded in the ledgers.
• Ensure all accounting data is prepared and reported in accordance with relevant reporting standards and business reporting requirements.
  Provide input into the development of financial reporting processes to ensure the production of the required financial reports in as efficient a manner as possible.
• Undertake project work to support the development of robust and effective financial reporting and investment accounting data.
  Apply theoretical accounting principles to complex practical situations.

Skills/Experience:

• Experience of working in an IFRS / Regulatory reporting environment
• Knowledge and experience of working in a financial services reporting environment
• Statutory reporting experience
• Knowledge of Solvency II reporting (QRTs)
