Description
Rutherford Cross is working with a forward-thinking and innovative business based in Glasgow to appoint a Purchase Ledger Lead. This role is the result of a period of sustained high growth and will be leading global purchase ledger activities. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for two direct reports and managing a multinational, multi-currency ledger.
Key responsibilities include:
- Invoice processing
- Reconciliation of delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
- Ensuring postings are made accurately and in a timely manner, working closely with the management accounts team to provide quality management information
- Responsibility for setting up supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details within the purchase ledger
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
- Processing business expenses, ensuring expense policies are adhered to and have the correct coding
- Providing forecasts of payment runs
- Analysing purchases by type and categories
The ideal candidate will have a breadth of purchase ledger experience at a multinational level, including establishing a purchase order process. As this role will have 2 direct reports the candidate must also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, good teamwork skills and self-discipline. The role will be working with a range of IT packages so IT literacy is a must
