Rutherford Cross have been engaged to recruit a Project Accountant for their well-known client in Aberdeen City Centre. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager this role will have a significant cross-functional, business partnering focus. Key to this role will be supporting the Finance Manager to enable a transparency of results in order to facilitate robust financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Production of month end accounts
• Compile and present financial reports, commentaries and statements
• Production and analysis of financial and statistical information
• Utilising technical expertise to extrapolate data to analyse and interpret data for business interrogation
• Assist in the completion of financial performance reviews
• Ownership of Accounts Receivable processes including reconciliations, direct debits, chasing of debt, refunds and credit notes
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Reconcile Inter and Intra company analysis
• Assist the Finance Manager and wider management team in the preparation of the Forecasts and Annual Budgets
Candidate Requirements:
• Qualified Accountant (CA/CIMA/ACCA)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of ERP systems and contract/project accounting
• Proven business partnering skills
• A positive approach to problem solving and process improvement.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + benefits.
