Description

Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic not for profit organisation based in Edinburgh. This position would suit either a part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS or equivalent), AAT qualified or qualified by experience finance professional who enjoys adding value and improving process within finance.

 

Reporting to the manager in the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure that the organisation is fully compliant in statutory reporting and payments and that robust internal controls are in place and adhered to
  • Ensure that the Balance Sheet is accurate and fully reconciled and analysed
  • Forecasting and reporting
  • Analysis of data including KPI’s
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are in in place, up to date including Debt Management, Accounts Payable and Payroll Functions
  • Support the team to compile the Annual Report and Accounts, Audit Requirements and any other ad hoc reports

 

You will be inquisitive in nature and enjoy problem solving, this is a unique opportunity to join a supportive and friendly team who work hard but enjoy the flexible working that the organisation is able to offer. This is a diverse role that will allow you to build upon and develop your existing skills gained to date.

Ideally you will be a part qualified accountant, or AAT qualified or qualified by experience. Ideally you will have gained some public sector experience, however this is not essential.
