Tax Leadership Opportunity – Mixed Tax Manager / Senior Manager

Location: Scotland Wide

Rutherford Cross are working closely with our professional services client on a unique role for an ambitious individual who enjoys a mix of corporate and personal tax queries and projects.

Our client, a fast-growing, tech-enabled business advisory firm, is seeking a Mixed Tax Manager/Senior Manager to join their expanding team. About the Role

You’ll lead a diverse client portfolio, providing both compliance and advisory expertise across corporate and personal tax. You’ll work closely with a skilled team, delegating, reviewing, and mentoring to ensure clients receive top-tier advice. Collaboration across teams and locations is key, as is spotting opportunities to add real value to clients’ businesses.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee annual tax compliance for companies and individuals
  • Advise on corporate tax planning, succession strategies, CGT, and remuneration structuring
  • Provide insight on benefits-in-kind, VAT, international taxes, LBTT, and stamp duty
  • Manage, motivate, and guide your team, ensuring high-quality delivery
  • Prepare client proposals, onboard new clients, and maintain strong client relationships
  • Contribute to thought leadership through blogs, technical articles, and presentations

What We’re Looking For

  • Professional tax qualification (CA, ATT, CTA)
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading a team
  • Strong track record in compliance and advisory work
  • Excellent client engagement and communication skills
  • Experience using Alphatax and CCH
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
