Rutherford Cross are pleased to be partnered with a manufacturing business in Livingston to appoint a Management Accountant. Reporting directly to a high-calibre Regional Financial Controller, this represents a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified/newly qualified or qualified by experience accountant to join a highly successful global organisation with significant scope for development in post.

Ideally, looking to engage with individuals who have prior experience in a manufacturing/FMCG/production-focused business. For those part-qualified and seeking to study, this role offers a full study support package. Initially, presence is expected on-site but post probationary period there is an opportunity to work hybrid with 2 days p/w reasonably expected in the office.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the monthly management accounts and assist with the reporting of the financial accounts at year-end
• Supply management information and variance analysis to the business to aid strategic decision-making
• Assist in the preparation of the yearly budget
• Assist with both internal and external audits
• Involvement in the day-to-day activities of the region, as well as several regional cross-functional projects
• Responsible for the integrity of the account postings within the system (SAP)
• Support the Regional Controller on all aspects of management information and variance analysis
• Work in collaboration with central finance and shared service centre to ensure transaction processing proceeds smoothly and error levels are continually reduced
• Regional travel across the Scottish sites
